Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) Erection

WWTP Improvements – Olive Branch, MS

Modolith Structures

Enhancing Infrastructure for Water Treatment Efficiency

Modolith played a critical role in the WWTP Improvements project in Olive Branch, MS, by erecting four specialized pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) structures to support enhanced water treatment operations. Designed for durability and functionality, these structures included a state-of-the-art laboratory, a lime feeder facility, and two large-span tank covers—each engineered to optimize performance at the wastewater treatment plant.

Tailored PEMB Structures for Municipal Utility

Smart Construction with High Operational ImpacT

Modolith’s contribution was highly specialized, focusing on the erection of steel structures built to withstand the harsh, moisture-heavy environment of wastewater processing while maintaining compliance with local safety and utility regulations.

Scope of Work Included:

A climate-controlled steel structure housing advanced water testing and analysis equipment. The design called for precision framing, insulated wall panels, and a weather-tight roof system to maintain interior environmental control.
This facility supports the plant’s chemical treatment process. Modolith erected a corrosion-resistant PEMB shell, incorporating efficient ventilation and robust structural framing to house sensitive dosing equipment.
These metal enclosures provide protection over key water treatment tanks. Engineered for span and strength, these covers required precise steel erection and weather-sealed integration to ensure operational safety and containment.

Self-Performed Steel Erection

Seamless Execution from Foundation to Final Fastener

Modolith’s hands-on team self-performed all pre-engineered metal building erection for the Olive Branch project. This ensured full control of quality, scheduling, and site safety throughout the entire build process. Working under tight municipal deadlines and in coordination with other utility upgrades, our steel crews maintained exacting tolerances across all four PEMB structures.
With site-specific challenges like limited access around tanks and existing infrastructure, we relied on modular coordination and skilled sequencing to complete the structures with zero disruption to plant operations.
